Book Haul & Upcoming TBR!

books orange

Today, I’m bringing you a book haul which also happens to be my upcoming TBR so you can know exactly what I’ll be reading over the next few weeks! I’ve seen a few book hauls on here where it’s up to 40 books! Sadly, I cannot afford that amount or even take that much out of the library, (no hate to the people that do big book hauls at all, I would 100% do that too if I had the means!) therefore this may be a smaller book haul than what you’re used to but it’s a book haul nonetheless!

The list will be in order of my TBR so the first book will be the next book I’m reading after ‘Our Dark Duet’ and so on and so forth! I won’t be saying much as to what I expect from the book as that will be included in my weekly announcement posts of each book. Some of these are bought and some of them are library borrows, I will state which on each book, let’s get into it!🥳

1. ‘Illuminae’ by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff – (library borrowed)

I saw this series floating around on the blogosphere and saw many good words about it. Truth be told I wasn’t going to pick it up. That was until I saw it at my library and looked inside. I was honestly blown away with the set up and decided there and then that this book and it’s followers would be my next read!

2. ‘Gemina’ by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff – (library borrowed)

Naturally, the library had the second book in the series so I had to pick that up too! I don’t know where I’m going to get my hands on the final book but if I love them I may just end up buying them all! If I get my hands on the third instalment in time then that will be my next read however until then it’s going to be…

3.  ‘Warcross’ by Marie Lu – (library borrowed)

I’ve seen this book everywhere since the second one came out and I’ve been dying to read it (if not for that bloody awesome cover alone???) Ready Player One is one of my favourite books (I actually gave in and watched the film last night, there’s gonna be a blog post to come about that for sure🤔) and I’ve seen around that this book is a better version of that story, so I’m very excited to give it a whirl!

4. ‘Six of Crows’ by Leigh Bardugo (library borrowed)

This book was everywhere when I first started blogging and people still sing its praises. I’m not going to lie, I picked this book up from the library about a month ago and have since renewed it because I just haven’t had the desire to pick it up yet. I’m still determined to read it so have added it on here so that I do but please if you have read this book give me some encouragement as to why I should read it, I don’t know why but I keep putting it off!

5. ‘Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine’ by Gail Honeyman – (bought)

I’ve decided to add this here to give me a break from all the hardcore sci-fi/fantasy and just read a nice contemporary. If I really enjoy ‘Six of Crows’ I may slip in the next in the series here but until that point it’s going to be this book because a lot of people have recommended this to me. I also bought this book for a steal of £2.99 from a website called World of Books, they sell unsold inventory’s of second-hand books! The books come in 3 different types of condition (very good, good and well-read) I think this book was a good condition book and I’m perfectly happy with it! I think there’s something nice about being able to tell that it’s been used and loved by someone else! I’ll provide the link to buy this book here! (this is not an ad or an affiliated link, I just think more people should know about the good deals!)

6. ‘The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle’ by Stuart Turton – (bought)

I’ve seen mixed reviews of this book by bloggers but the blurb has completely sold me. I love the kind of Sherlock Holmes vibes I get, mixed with Cluedo, mixed with the roaring 20’s! I also bought this book from the same website for £5.49! Bargain! You can buy this here!

7. ‘Vox’ by Christina Dalcher – (bought)

I also bought this book off the same website for £3.99 and it came in very good condition! I bought this as a whim, I’d never even heard of it before but the blurb caught my attention so I decided to pick it up. I have since looked at Goodreads reviews which we were a little mixed and negative so I’m a bit wary of it now but will go into it with an open mind! I think this book is now sold out on the website but they may get it back again so keep checking if you want a good deal!

That’s it for my book haul & upcoming TBR! I hope you enjoyed this post, it was a really fun one to do!

Till next time,

love, bella x

  1. You have a lot of great picks on here! I hope you absolutely love The Illuminae Files, Six of Crows, and Evelyn Hardcastle. They’re all very unique and oh so good. I just finished rereading SoC yesterday and I still loved it as much as the first time. And I’ve read both Illuminae and Gemina many times 😂 They’re the only things that can get me out of slumps lol
